Taking the title of the autobiographical story by Marguerite HEYOPPE KRAEMER and the film directed by Serge SCHLEIFFER, the exhibition and the proposed activities bring a dramatic and moving slice of life to life.

It is first a matter of evoking the martyrdom of the villages of Hatten and Rittershoffen, devastated by Operation “Nordwind” in 1945. Then, of delving into the incredible story of Marguerite, aged twenty years at the time. at the time, who had to leave the Rothsmatt forestry house with the large family of forest guard Heyoppe and hit the countryside to survive in the hell of war. Sharing the fears and hopes of a young Alsatian woman caught in the turmoil like so many unfortunate people in current conflicts.

Photos of the filming by AMIFILM, in January 2023, at the Maison Rurale, will suggest the intimate atmosphere of the production, with accessories from the AMROF collections. Finally, as if to satisfy the nagging appetite for butter toast in times of scarcity, the visitor will discover, from the cow to the butter toast, the steps of magical recipes. In short, an entertainment to churn without bullshit!
