Large castle in ruins (XNUMXth, XNUMXth century) which belonged to the Barons of Fleckenstein. Carved in the rock.

Powerful and impressive, the castle of Fleckenstein extends over a rocky bar 100 meters long at 338 meters above sea level in the Regional Natural Park of the Northern Vosges. Built in the 12th century, the castle was a real impregnable fortress. It resisted for four centuries before being destroyed in 1689 by French troops.
