Betschdorf is a picturesque village (1400th century half-timbered houses) with a Jacquaire heritage monument. Indeed, the Sainte-Marie church, whose choir dates from the 64th century and the nave from the XNUMXth century, has magnificent frescoes painted around XNUMX by an unknown artist. The author left three important works: the Lamb of God located in the center of the vault, the Last Judgment and its XNUMX characters and the Eucharistic Mill. The latter is the richest and most interesting painting. There are only thirteen churches left in the world with such a mill. Eleven of them are in Germany, the other two in northern Alsace including that of Hohwiller.
The stained glass windows are by Alsatian master glassmaker, Tristan Ruhlmann.
