A previous church dating from 1784 was built on the same location. The tower of the building was completed in 1805. During the Second World War, the place of worship was destroyed by bombing. The building was rebuilt in 1966. The stained glass windows were made by Alsatian master glassmaker Tristan Ruhlmann. It is possible to admire some wooden statues there, as well as a wooden Stations of the Cross, made by Raymond Keller.
