In northern Alsace, in the Green Alsace region, at the foot of the Vosges mountains, between vineyards and forests, discover an authentic Alsatian town et its exceptional heritage. Its geographical location, on the border of France and Germany, has always predisposed it to opening up to the European continent.

Wissembourg Since 2008, Wissembourg has been listed among the "100 Most Beautiful Detours in France," a selection of charming tourist towns to discover. Explore the charms of Wissembourg with its abbey church, half-timbered houses, Little Venice, and vineyards. Our tour also includes a stop at the Deutsches Weintor (German Wine Gate), just across the border!

The little train is running from April to October.
Tour duration approximately 45 to 50 minutes
Starting point : Place du Saumon in front of the Tourist Office

The route will take you in particular past Stanislas Palace, the Salt House and the former Commandery of the Teutonic Order, while walking along the walls and the remains of the medieval fortifications. The excursion continues through the vineyards to the German Wine Gate, emblematic gateway to wine located on the Franco-German border.
