Hiking trail between Fleckenstein Castle and Lembach

Hiking trail starting from Fleckenstein Castle. During the open season, begin with a visit to this 13th-century semi-troglodytic fortress. Explore the castle and its grounds and discover its history, nestled in the heart of the Northern Vosges Mountains. Admire the panoramic view from the castle's viewing platform. After your visit, start your hike by following the GR53 (red rectangle) to Fleckenstein Pond, then the GR531 (blue rectangle) to Lembach. Cross through part of the village and rest before continuing your hike on the heights above Wingen, following the red cross markers to the Litschhof Pass. At the pass, continue past the Gimbelhof (where you can find refreshments), before returning to the starting point at the entrance to Fleckenstein Castle.
