Charles Matthis is at the origin of a good number of archaeological discoveries, in particular prehistoric but also Roman and medieval, in Niederbronn-les-Bains but also in our region.
On this path which commemorates his remarkable investment, discover the famous stones with cupules and other enclosures which once aroused all his curiosity. A few meters from the Château de la Wasenbourg, be sure to admire the rock called the Wachtfelsen, dedicated to Mercury.

This one-hour hike is practiced in addition to the circuit to the Château de la Wasenbourg.
