Hike along the five castles

Hiking circuit through the Northern Vosges, passing through the castles of New Windstein, Schoeneck, Wineck, Wittschloessel and Old Windstein.

This route requires good physical condition given the distance and the elevation.

Departure: Auberge du Windstein - Red rectangle towards Nouveau Windstein – Wineckerthal - Turn right at green triangle towards Château du Schoeneck - Col du Langthal - Yellow disc - Col du Wineck – Château du Wineck - Return to Col du Wineck by the same path - Yellow triangle towards Wittschloessel pass - Red/white/red rectangle for access to Wittschloessel castle - Red rectangle - Wineckerthal pass - Petit Gruenenberg pass - Wasserstein - Vieux Windstein – Return to the Auberge du Windstein.
