First in the hollow of the valley, this superb hike will take you to the highest point of the Northern Vosges: the Grand Wintersberg.
Once at the top, several options will be available to you for the return: follow the route of the GR53, take the red triangle towards Lichteneck, or even the bluest one through the Durschbach valley.
Departure from the center of Niederbronn-les-Bains - avenue de la Libération - pass under the railway bridge in front of the mini-golf - allée des Tilleuls - rue Charles Mathis - follow the main markings along the Falkensteinerbach stream to Breitenwasen – cross the N62 – passage to the Riesthal forest house - Rockenberg - Grand Wintersberg - return to Niederbronn-les-Bains by the variant of your choice.
