Hiking trail around black gold

Explore the Outre-Forêt region of Green Alsace, following in the footsteps of the famous black gold that once shaped the entire industrial economy. Start in Soultz-sous-Forêts and continue towards the foothills of the Northern Vosges Mountains. After Lobsann, continue through the forest towards Merkwiller-Pechelbronn. Remnants of the oil industry's epic era are still visible along the route. Continue on to Kutzenhausen, where you can visit the Maison Rurale de l'Outre-Forêt (Rural House of the Outre-Forêt), which showcases local rural life.
