Take on the highest peak in the Northern Vosges by following the GR53 long-distance hiking trail.
From the town centre: follow the road to Bitche as far as the source of the Liese - take the marked path. On your way, you will discover a Celtic camp following the red/white/red rectangle. Here, a beautiful view of the Falkensteinerbach valley will be offered to you, it is the ideal place to take your first break!
You will still need some effort to reach the Grand Wintersberg tower... but once at the top, savor the exceptional panorama: you dominate the Northern Vosges, the Black Forest, the nearby Palatinate and, on a clear day, Strasbourg Cathedral even looms on the horizon.
A little further down, at the Col de la Liese, the Club Vosgien chalet opens its doors to you every Sunday and on public holidays: refreshments and snacks are available.
