From the center of town, view of the castle which has watched over Niederbronn-les-Bains since the XNUMXth century, when it was first mentioned.

Classified as a historical monument on December 6, 1898.

Exceptional Gothic bay with 9 lancets and 7 oculus, unique composition in Alsace and inscribed in a lowered arch, the mullions have been restored. Imposing shield wall 4 meters thick protecting the courtyard and the dwelling. Inside the house, frieze decorated with a human head (XNUMXth century).

Remains of a Gallo-Roman temple dedicated to Mercury located behind the ruin. Visitors can observe the two floors of the house. A Roman bas-relief from the castle representing Mercury is on display at the archeology center in Niederbronn-les-Bains.
