An observation tower in the middle of nature
Walk above the trees? Yes, it is possible in Alsace Verte with this observation tower, the Treetop-Walk Alsace. The tower is accessible in two ways, from a large free car park located below: the bravest visitors will take a hiking trail decorated with panels evoking the fauna and flora and dotted with tables and rest benches (count 1 hour), while others can take the mini-train which will transport them quietly from the car park to the entrance of the site during a 15-minute journey on a small winding forest road. In both cases, the visitor will arrive at the foot of the observation tower which they will have to climb to enjoy this unique experience!
A gentle approach for a breathtaking view
The introduction is done gently: the trail begins with a gentle slope over a length of 625 m right in the middle of the treetops, giving you the chance to observe the tree species of our beautiful forests in the Northern Vosges and to look for the animals that hide and nest there. Keep your eyes peeled, curious squirrels might surprise you...

Arrived at the foot of the tower, the slope becomes slightly steeper and it is in a spiral that the journey continues towards the summit which culminates at 29 meters. Located in the heart of the Vosges du Nord Regional Nature Park, from up there you can observe all the richness and diversity of this exceptional area, with each season bringing its own colours and luminosity: whether in summer, autumn or the middle of winter, the experience is magical every time. As far as the eye can see, the landscapes of the Rhine plain framed by the Black Forest to the east and by the Northern Vosges to the west, will never cease to amaze you. And if you are lucky enough, on a clear day, heading south… you can see the very small spire of the Strasbourg Cathedral in the distance.
A unique experience for young and old
The adventure continues and thrill-seekers will not hesitate to try sliding down the slide installed within the tower itself. With a length of 75 meters, it will take you to the foot of the belvedere in a few seconds. On arrival, if you raise your head you will be able to observe the impressive all-wooden structure, made up of 80% renewable raw material.
This unique experience is designed to suit all audiences: whether with the family or solo, whether you are young or old, adventurous or not... the route allows everyone to reach the summit at their own pace, and is also perfectly suited for pushchairs, walkers and wheelchairs.
