An artisanal and family workshop, the Fortuné Schmitter pottery has been producing genuine Alsatian salt stoneware for 7 generations in the village of Betschdorf.

An artisanal family business since 1844, we produce real Alsace salt stoneware. Our pottery, utilitarian and decorative, is entirely made in our workshop and has just obtained a Geographical Indication "Alsace potteries". The firing process, characteristic of Betschdorf production, gives all its authenticity to our pottery. This is where all our know-how is expressed. Salt vitrification makes our parts waterproof and unalterable.
