The Geisberg hill was the site of successive battles, the most famous of which, the battle of August 4, 1870, resulted in the victory of the Prussians over the troops of General Abel Douay.

A unique panorama over Wissembourg and the Palatinate vineyard completes the interest of the site (altitude 243 m).
