An ancient custom was to bring animals here on pilgrimage in search of protection against diseases and epidemics. The Tierkirchlein (small animal chapel) was therefore a major place of pilgrimage very frequented by the faithful of the region. After the reform at the end of the XNUMXth century, attendance gradually decreased until the middle of the XNUMXth century. Today, only a few sections of walls of the old Gothic building remain.
