The Outre-Forêt Community Council, on September 9, 2021, approved the Intercommunity Plan for cycle routes in partnership with the Community of Communes of the Pays de Wissembourg.

This plan provided for the creation of 2 structuring axes which extend over nearly 37 km on the scale of the two intercommunities (approximately 17,7 km for the territory of the CC Outre-Forêt) for a total cost of more than 3,5 .1,56 million euros including 50 million euros for Overseas, excluding the development of footbridges. This project benefits from financial support of 30% from the European Community of Alsace in the name of the structuring nature of these axes and XNUMX% from the State under the Active Mobility Fund.

The development of these cycle routes entered its operational phase on September 19, 2022 with the start of work on axis B linking Hatten to Seebach via the municipalities of Oberrœdern, Stundwiller and Aschbach. The end of the work on this axis is scheduled for the end of June 2023. This route will be carried out on its own site from Hatten to Oberrœdern then on existing land association paths, particularly on the Stundwiller – Aschbach section, in a logic of land sobriety to limit consumption of agricultural land.

Work on axis A linking Betschdorf to Wissembourg via Soultz-sous-Forêts, Retschwiller and Keffenach will start on March 6, 2023 with a prospect of completion at the end of 2023. Here too the logic of land sobriety will be respected since the entire axis will use existing municipal or land association paths.
